On March 14, 2016, Joe Longfellow defended a physician at a local jail in the Florida panhandle against an inmate's claim of deliberate indifference to a serious medical issue while housed at the jail. The Plaintiff argued that the inmate was not provided care for his serious medical need. The Defense argued that the inmate was provided with appropriate medical care for each and every complaint, and established that the medical care provided was within the standard of care for a physician. There was no appeal taken and a cost judgment was obtained against the Plaintiff.
